About Groth Manufacturing, Inc.:
Groth Manufacturing, Inc. is a full service precision machining shop located in Carpentersville, Illinois.
The Business Problem:
With his business well established for over 30 years, John Groth, President of Groth Manufacturing, Inc., realized that the machining industry had become increasingly competitive as the industry shifted toward national and global trade. John needed to find a way to compete more effectively both nationally and globally, and decided to invest in having a web site designed. |

The Solution:
Southland Design created a web site that featured Groth’s machining capability in both equipment and product through data lists and photography. SouthLand also designed an on-line form that would not only email customer requests and contact information to him, but would allow the customer to attach a document / blue print to expedite the quoting and turnaround on a job submitted via the Internet. In addition to that, SouthLand created a series of video clips with John giving a shop tour, inspection and company overview. This allows the potential customer to not only see exactly what machines Groth MFG has on the floor, but also their full capability, quality control, and the ability to view their processes and procedures first-hand.
The Results:
When I asked John about the results he has seen from the new web site, this was his response: “Great – Quotes come in from all over the U.S. now. I don’t even have to cold call anymore! Plus, the new web site really gives the customer good insight into my company. It eases any concerns they might have about placing an order with a facility that they have not visited or inspected”
Overall Experience Working with Southland Design:
John stated, “SouthLand has the creative edge needed to complete my thoughts and put them into action. They are easy to work with because of the experience they have had in business – They know what you need before you even tell them!” When asked about future plans with SouthLand, John replied, “(He) plans to keep SouthLand Design for as long as we are both in business. Just look at my web site and the way it works, and you will be sold on SouthLand too.” |
